Upholstery Trimmings
Selvege material from upholstery fabric. 1/4” to 1” fibers attached to header threads making a long rope like structure ideal for weaving rugs. Rugs will have a textured, shaggy appearance and are machine washable when tightly woven. Trimmings may be cotton, rayon or chenille. All types may be woven in the same rug. 1000’s of choices available, with bags ranging in weight from 1/2 up to 8 pounds.
Fiber content: cotton, rayon, polyester
Weight per rug: 1/2 pound per sq. foot
Rug size examples: 2’ x 3’ = 6 sq feet (3 lbs) 28” x 4’ = 9.33 sq ft (4 2/3 lbs) 50 pound grouping: (10) 28”x 4’ sizes or (16) 2×3 sizes
